Cabling specialist cooperates with affiliated company Rosenberger Site Solutions, adding Andy Shields to the team
Augsburg, April 20, 2021 – Rosenberger Optical Solutions & Infrastructure (Rosenberger OSI), expert in fiber-based connectivity, cabling solutions and infrastructure services, is continuing its expansion strategy and, following Spain as part of the company's 30th anniversary, is now also focusing on the data center market in North America. To this end, the cooperation with affiliated company Rosenberger Site Solutions (RSS), Lake Charles, Louisiana, which has been very successful in the FTTA (Fiber-to-the-Antenna) sector for many years, is now also being further expanded in the data center sector.
As a recognized specialist in the telecom sector in the USA, RSS will work together with Rosenberger OSI - the specialist for the data center market in Europe within the Rosenberger Group - to further develop and expand Rosenberger's presence in the North American data center market. “Rosenberger OSI has been a leader in the data center market in Europe for more than 30 years, and this expansion is the next logical step in meeting the needs of our global customers,” said Thomas Schmidt, managing director of Rosenberger OSI.
Andy Shields joins Rosenberger OSI's North American team
As of March 1, 2021, Andy Shields is leading the team in the U.S. as vice president of Data Center Solutions. With his many years of experience in the data center environment and his broad network, Shields will be instrumental in raising awareness of the Rosenberger brand and introducing Rosenberger OSI's innovative solutions to the North American data center market.
30 years of successful cabling history
By entering the U.S. market, Rosenberger OSI is continuing its efforts to gain greater international recognition as a digital innovation leader in the fiber optic segment. The company has long since become a globally recognized expert in fiber optic based connectivity, innovative cabling infrastructure and infrastructure services and is represented worldwide with production facilities in Hungary and Mexico, sales offices in Italy and France as well as sales cooperations within the Rosenberger Group in Spain and the USA. In the meantime, Rosenberger OSI can look back on a 30-years success story.
Pioneer - trendsetter - innovation leader
Since 1991, Rosenberger OSI has been a pioneer in MTP® technology thanks to the development of an innovative cabling system for data centers, thus becoming a trendsetter in the parallel optics sector. Since then, further unique developments have followed, such as the PreCONNECT® SEDECIM cabling system introduced last year. The basis for this is the MTP®/MPO connector with 16 fibers, which is predestined for the coming data center generation, even with the highest data transmission rates of 400Gbit/s. The comprehensive system was awarded Gold by the jury of the Cabling Installation & Maintenance Award 2020 in the USA. This was followed in the same year by the award as “Digital Innovation Leader” from the F.A.Z. Institute.
