Rosenberger OSI takes over the network expert Hau GmbH & Co. KG

Cabling specialist underlines its growth strategy with this acquisition

Augsburg, February 3, 2020 – Rosenberger Optical Solutions & Infrastructure (Rosenberger OSI), manufacturer of innovative fiber optic cabling infrastructures in Europe, is acquiring all shares of Hau GmbH & Co. KG, thereby expanding its presence and positioning in the data center region of Frankfurt am Main in Germany.

The Hau GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 1983 as a purely electrical company. Today, the company is one of the largest service providers for network technology in the Eifel region in Germany. The focus is on the physical areas of network technology, the installation of networks, the connection work and the measurement of data cables in the area of copper and fibre optics. "With this acquisition, we are continuing our consistent growth course and are also strengthening our Cabling Services division," says Thomas Schmidt, Managing Director of Rosenberger OSI.

Growth strategy consistently pursued

With this acquisition, Rosenberger OSI is consistently pursuing its expansion strategy, which began as early as 2015 with the establishment of European subsidiaries in France, Italy and Sweden. This was followed in May 2017 by the opening of the Service Point in Frankfurt. In 2019, a new production site was founded in Apodaca, Mexico, to develop the North American market. At the end of the same year, the new sales manager Enrique Lopez started work in Mexico.

Strengthening the Cabling Services business unit

Regarding the takeover, Thomas Schmidt assures: "All employees of Hau GmbH & Co. KG will be retained and existing service contracts will be continued". The Cabling Services division will be further strengthened and expanded with the new colleagues. The services provided by Rosenberger OSI consist of the five cornerstones "data center planning & consulting", "data center operation", "managed services", "installation services" and "consulting services". Rosenberger OSI's customers thus receive all services for their data center infrastructure components from a single source in the form of a "one-stop shop partner".

"Our growth and the associated expansion of our services enables us to provide our existing customers and potential new customers with even more intensive advice and support," concludes the Managing Director.
