Fiber optic trunk cables

Rosenberger OSI introduced high-fiber-count factory assembled fiber optic trunk cables based on loose tube indoor, universal and outdoor cables to the market in 1991. PreCONNECT® STANDARD was the first high-fiber-count, and modular „plug & play“ fiber optic cabling system developed and manufactured in Europe for data center data cabling.

Both cable ends of the PreCONNECT® STANDARD trunks are molded within the cable dividers and assembled with „standard-stepped“ connector legs. The „standard-stepped“ connector legs fit for all PreCONNECT® panel systems.

The PreCONNECT® cable divider is a splice-less ferrule to separate the fibers of loose tube cables. It is one of the mechanically and thermally most robust cable dividers for loose tube cables at the smallest diameters. With its integrated PreCONNECT® square interface, the cable divider can be tool-free hooked into PreCONNECT® panels for tensile and torsion resistant fixing of the trunks.

In the meantime we also have trunk cables based on breakout cable designs with PreCONNECT® square-interfaces on both sides which can be tool-less hooked into PreCONNECT® panel systems for tensile and torsion resistant fixing of the trunks.

You can also now order online in our Rosenberger OSI online shop - the webshop of the fiber optics expert. In the webshop, you will find our fiber optic trunk cables with singlemode and multimode OM4 fibers consisting of loose tube cable for indoor (I-B), universal- (U-DQ) and outdoor applications (A-DQ), breakout cable (I-V) for indoor applications and microbreakout cable (I-F) for indoor applications for data centers, office buildings, campuses and factories. Fast delivery. No minimum order amount. Carriage-free as of an order value of €100. 5-year guarantee

Features

  • Depending on the cable type used in the trunk cable, these are suitable for purely indoor applications with corresponding CPR fire classes, but also for universal applications and purely outdoor applications
  • Cable types are:
  • Loose tube cable for indoor (I-B), universal- (U-DQ) and outdoor applications (A-DQ)
  • Breakout cable (I-V) for indoor applications
  • Microbreakout cable (I-F) for indoor applications
  • The factory-assembled connector legs can be ordered on both sides to suit your application, or as our “standard stepped” to fit our PreCONNECT® 19" panels
  • The connector legs are optionally supplied with robust, tension-, crush- and kink-resistant, IP50 dustproof indoor installation tubes, IP67 waterproof outdoor installation tubes, or simply protected with dustproof foil tubes
  • Available with up to 144 fibers as standard depending on cable type, also with higher fiber counts on request
  • Delivery form depending on the length as a cable ring or on a cardboard or wooden drum
  • Plug & Play
