Augsburg, 19th March 2018 – "Adaptable, clever, perfect price" - Rosenberger Optical Solutions & Infrastructure (Rosenberger OSI), manufacturer of innovative cabling infrastructures based on fiber optics, will present its new product portfolio PerCONNECT® EcoFlex'IT™ at this year's Light + Building in hall 9, booth B71 for the first time. EcoFlex'IT™ is the next step on from Rosenberger OSI's LAN cabling solution PerCONNECT® and represents an innovative redundant Ethernet cabling concept. “As a cabling system, PerCONNECT® EcoFlex'IT™ integrates into any work environment without the need of additional space, can be taken out again at any time, is easy to move and is flexibly upgradeable”, explains Stefan Wiener, product manager of the LAN portfolio.
PerCONNECT® EcoFlex'IT™ is the next step on from PerCONNECT® with active components and an innovative overall concept which focuses on efficient and flexible new and existing network installations.
No further construction work required
A central element in this complete system is the Active Consolidation Point (ACP) which is responsible for distributing the Ethernet data. The ACP is integrated in the backbone with fiber optics and distributes in the close tertiary area (max. 20 meters) based on copper trunks or patch cables. The special feature of the system: As the ACPs will be installed in raised floors, ceilings or walls, the cabling system can be integrated in any work environment without the need for additional space. Due to less cabling also fire risks, cable routing and firewall dimensions are reduced.
Retrofitting without effort
PerCONNECT® EcoFlex'IT™ is a ring configuration which is redundantly designed and can therefore be retrofitted easily without interrupting any operations. The complete concept can be named as FTTACP (fiber to the active consolidation point).
EcoFlex'IT™: time- and cost-effective and additional investment protection
Rosenberger OSI plans, installs and commissions the solution on site itself or through qualified partners. Due to the use of pre-assembled cables the customer saves up to 50% in time and money during installation. Furthermore the system saves up to 60% in material costs for tertiary copper cabling. "The system can be easily expanded and modified in any new or existing networks. In case of a movement the user has an additional investment protection as all active and almost all passive components of EcoFlex'IT™ can be reused again", Stefan Wiener explains.
Interested visitors can experience the system live at the Rosenberger OSI booth at Light + Building.
