Cabling specialist and IT service provider form one-stop shop for local customers and their data projects
Augsburg, December 11, 2018 – Rosenberger Optical Solutions & Infrastructure (Rosenberger OSI), manufacturer of innovative fiber-optic cabling infrastructure in Europe, announces that the company's presence will now also be intensified in Eastern Europe. This is achieved by a cooperation with the Slovakian IT service provider Dimension Data, one of the world's leading providers of network and communication technology and IT services.
"Our cooperation results in a win-win situation for both sides: Dimension Data benefits from high-quality Rosenberger OSI cabling solutions that can be offered to customers in the region, and we ourselves can strengthen our regional roots and reputation through Dimension Data," says Thomas Schmidt, Managing Director of Rosenberger OSI.
Everything from one source and holistic support
However, the customers do not only benefit from the OSI products, the cooperation also results in a "one-stop shop", so that they can expect an integral support - starting from the planning. "Our Slovakian customers now receive everything for their projects from one source and can, for example, integrate copper cabling solutions as well as fiber optic cabling solutions," explains the Managing Director.
Successful banking projects
Prior to the official cooperation, the Rosenberger OSI and Dimension Data employees had already had a long-standing business relationship. For example, in the summer and autumn of 2016, Rosenberger OSI and Dimension Data successfully carried out the complex project to migrate the Tatra banka data center. Tatra banka, based in Bratislava, was founded in 1990 as the first private bank in Slovakia. With over 100 branches in all regions of Slovakia and over 800,000 customers, it is the third-largest bank in the country. The bank had made a strategic decision to modernize its data center operations to meet future business requirements while ensuring maximum availability at the same time. The project included the shutdown of existing internal facilities and IT systems as well as the transfer of the infrastructure to a data center in Bratislava, which is operated by Slovak Telekom. In order to achieve this goal, a modern network cabling infrastructure was therefore of central importance, which was successfully installed by the partners.
