Data Network Optical Distribution Frame DN-ODF and DN-ODF-C

The multi-talent for patch locations:
Space-saving but with an exceptional port density

Space is the most valuable, and very scarce, resource in a data center – and standard cabling racks take up a lot of it.  During the last 100 years of telecommunications history, the basic principles behind the main distributor have proven their value as they have gradually evolved. The next logical evolutionary stage for central cabling solutions for data center, campus and building use are the space-saving Data Network Optical Distribution Frame (DN-ODF) and the Data Network Optical Distribution Frame Closable (DN-ODF-C).

Together with the LARO patch panel, the DN-ODF and the DN-ODF-C acts as a high-density patch location with up to 2160 LCD ports per single frame for fiber optic for data center
optical fiber cabling. What is more, both can be used in data centers and IT rooms as a transfer point for network transitions (meet-me room), for example in co-location data centers, or as a main distribution cabinet, intermediate distribution cabinet or zone distribution cabinet in accordance with EN 50173-3, and all of this with an extremely high port density. DN-ODF and the DN-ODF-C makes use of the concept of the optical fiber main distributor. Thanks to their ability to accommodate very large numbers of cables, these distributors are regularly used in central office, co-location and Edge solutions in the telecommunications sector.

Características

  • Single frame or double frame (DN-ODF only)
  • Single frame DN-ODF-C with lockable doors
  • Standard ETSI width of 1200 mm
  • Flexible mountable cable supports
  • Perfectly designed for the use of PreCONNECT® trunk cables
  • Can be arranged as back-to-back or side-by-side setups
  • Saves space and energy when positioned out of cold aisle containments

Ventajas

  • Space-saving with up to three times the port density per unit of DC space compared to cable cabinets
  • Efficient operation despite the high density
  • Usage of otherwise unsuitable spaces
  • Secure even with minimally invasive tasks without impacting on neighbouring connections
  • Reliable, market-proven concept
